About the orchard

Wolverton Community Orchard was created in 2003 from a derelict allotment site that had become an unsightly mess.

The Orchard now has over 50 productive fruit trees, including apples and plums, a sensory garden and an allotment area where plants are grown for the orchard and to support Wolverton & Greenleys in Bloom’s efforts every year.

Almost all the orchard is wheelchair-friendly and there are several raised beds to make work easy. It’s open every day in daylight hours for play, contemplation and picnics and there are regular community events during the year with live music and refreshments.

Everyone who takes care of the orchard is a volunteer and we meet weekly on Tuesday moprnings. Everyone is welcome!
